Pavlovian Patriotism

So here's the latest outrage floating around the timelines of my Facebook friends; Mostly my Republican friends (usually High School classmates) but also depressingly some of my friends who are Democrats or reasonable Independents.  The image comes from local newsman Curt Autry of NBC12 in Richmond, Virginia, who blasts the people in the photo thus (quote):
